At SERVPRO of Bethesda, we’re committed to recognizing the outstanding individuals who make a difference in our community. This past Sunday, we had the honor of participating in the Hometown Hero presentation at the University of Maryland (UMD) basketball game against Rutgers. Our honoree, Deputy Fire Chief - Paramedic Oluwafunmike Omasere, has dedicated 27 years of service to DC Fire and EMS Foundation, and her legacy of leadership and mentorship makes her a true hero in our eyes.
As the senior officer in charge during major emergencies, Omasere has coordinated efforts during large-scale incidents, including 9/11. But her leadership extends beyond the field of fire and EMS. She is deeply invested in mentoring the next generation of first responders, especially women, through her work with the Women’s Advisory Council. Her outreach programs, such as Camp Spark and Girl Scout First Aid training, are just a few examples of how she’s giving back to the community.
We’re grateful to have had the opportunity to honor such an exceptional individual. SERVPRO of Bethesda is proud to support our local heroes!
