Smoke odor?
After experiencing fire and smoke damage, the soot is easier to clean due to the fact that it is visible to our cleaning technicians. However, the smoke odor is much harder to get rid of. After a birds nest blocked the chimney of this local home, the home experienced severe smoke damage that left a bad odor in the whole house. To properly remove the smoke odor, our team starts off by cleaning the walls and the carpets in the home. Another important step is to clean the air ducts and filters in the home. SERVPRO also uses air scrubbers to remove soot, odor, and smoke odor particles from the air.
